On December 2, a concert of the Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy titled “The National Orchestra in Uralsk” was held at the Atameken Concert Hall.
During the evening, the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region, Nariman Turegaliyev, delivered a welcoming speech, noting that the ensemble had been specially invited to the Ural region. The orchestra, which arrived from the Alatau region, was presented with a letter of appreciation and commemorative gifts.
The concert program of the Kurmangazy Orchestra consisted of two sections. The first section was dedicated to works by Kazakh composers.
In the second section, compositions by Russian and international composers were performed.
At the end of the evening, the Director of the Kazakh National Orchestra of Folk Instruments named after Kurmangazy, Medet Kuanyshev, in his closing remarks expressed gratitude to the regional akimat and representatives of the cultural sector for supporting the orchestra’s tour to the West Kazakhstan Region.
The artists were presented with flowers on behalf of the Akim of the West Kazakhstan Region.
