A roundtable discussion titled “Akhmet Zhubanov and the Musical Heritage of the Turkic World”, dedicated to the 120th anniversary of Akhmet Kuanuly Zhubanov, was held in Ankara, the capital of the Republic of Türkiye.
During the event, orchestra musician and musicologist Aset Dzhumabayev delivered a scholarly presentation entitled “The Dombra Section of the Kurmangazy Kazakh National Folk Instruments Orchestra: Past and Present.” In his presentation, he provided a comprehensive overview of the formation of Kazakh professional musical art and highlighted the orchestra’s historical role in the development of the nation’s cultural heritage.
At the conclusion of the event, an international certificate was awarded on behalf of the Secretary General of TURKSOY, Sultan Raev. The roundtable served as an important platform for promoting the shared cultural heritage of Turkic peoples and strengthening international cultural cooperation.
