The Kazakh National Kurmangazy Orchestra of Folk Instruments, as part of its concert and touring project “Khalyk Auenі,” has begun its concert tour across the Kostanay Region.

Today, the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Orchestra of Folk Instruments, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan and sponsored by the Joint Stock Company “Halyk Bank,” as part of the concert and touring project “Khalyk Auenі,” which is taking place in the Kostanay Region from May 21 to 23, 2026, began its first concert program in the Zhitikara District of the region.

The concert, held at the District Cultural Center, introduced the audience to the invaluable heritage of Kazakh traditional kui art. The program featured works by great kui composers such as Kurmangazy, Tattimbet, Dauletkerei, and Dina, as well as songs by Shamshi Kaldayakov and pieces of world classical music.

Each performance by the national orchestra was distinguished by its profound artistic content and high level of interpretative skill. The orchestra was joined on stage by Honored Worker of Kazakhstan and holder of the Order of “Parasat,” Zhenis Yssakova.

Throughout the evening, the residents of the region showed great warmth and expressed their gratitude and appreciation with enthusiastic applause. This concert became a significant cultural event for the people of the Zhitikara District of the Kostanay Region, allowing them to connect with national art.

The next performance of the Kazakh National Kurmangazy Orchestra of Folk Instruments as part of the tour will continue on May 22 at 15:00 in the Lisakovsk District of the Kostanay Region.
